On Saturday 31 March 2012 at 8:30pm, hundreds of millions of people across the globe switched off the lights of their working environment for one hour. Earth Hour, the worlds largest public environmental action.
began as a single-city initiative in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and has since grown into a global movement with hundreds of millions of people from more than 5,000 cities and towns in 135 countries across every continent switching off their lights, creating history, as the worlds greatest ever environmental action.
